FAQ

What are the Best of Gluten-Free Awards?
The Best of Gluten-Free Awards were created in 2010 by Triumph Dining as a way of recognizing best products and resources available in the gluten-free community and thanking the people who provide them. They are the first and most extensive awards of their kind.

How are the winners determined?
The Best of Gluten-Free Winners are chosen by popular vote within the gluten-free community. This year, almost 10,000 people came forward to cast their vote.

How are the nominees determined?
The nominees are carefully selected by groups of ambassadors from the gluten-free community. This year we tested a “focus group” setting, in which the nominees are chosen through group discussion among the participants. We also reviewed all the suggestions we received from throughout the gluten-free community to put together the group of nominees seen in our survey.

What if you miss my favorite product?
We realize that it is possible to overlook certain products- we are not perfect! For this reason, we created a write-in option in the Best of Gluten-Free Survey. Have an idea for next year’s survey? Use our Feedback Form to let us know!

Is it possible for a write-in nominee to win?
Of course! In fact, if we see that a certain product is receiving over 5% of the write-in votes, we will give them their own nominee listing in the survey.

What do the winners get?
The winners get a trophy as well as Best of Gluten-Free bragging rights!

I would like to participate in a focus group to choose next year’s nominees.
Great! Just drop us a line using our Feedback Form and we will add you to the list. Serious applicants only, please.

Who is sponsoring the awards?
The awards are currently sponsored by Triumph Dining.

How are the prize winners determined?
Each voter who enters the contest is assigned a number. We then use random.org to generate a random set of numbers from within that set, and those are the winners.
